Awards, Distinction, Achievement, and description

1.	GUMIL’s CHOICE Award was won by Prof. Jan Justin C. Rodriguez for his film entry “Ban-ay” in the 1st North Luzon Film Festival held at the Brickstone Mall, Tuguegarao City on March 24-25, 2017. The trophy was awarded during the festival’s Awards Night held at the Valley Hotel, Peñablanca,Cagayan. Students’ film entries “Dalig” and “Pila” also received a lot of nominations during the Awards Nights.
2.	Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources has this tradition of holding documentary contest for College Students yearly, The Ab-Masscomm program joined on the said contest which lead the two group garnered two regional spots “2nd Place and they managed to have a two spot in the national Top 10 list the film entry entitled “Katibayan”, and “Bunga sa buhay ni Mang Jimmy”.
3.	Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to the AB Mass Communication Program for producing a video entitled “CSU-PNP Polaris Program” which presents PNP’s response to the Goal of Patrol Plan 2030 which is to promote partnership among local resource institutes to maximize productivity of the PNP Regional Force on July 21, 2015.
4.	Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to Cagayan State University under the leadership of Dr. Archimedes C. Articulo in appreciation of their valuable effort and support during the production of the video documentation of the featured Local Government Units (LGU) in celebration on the 23rd Local Government Month on October 30, 2014.
5.	Certificate of Recognition was awarded to Kaagapay Mo, CSU of the AB Mass Communication Program for being the Best Magazine Program which aims to promote quality education, local tourism, and respect of law in citizenship in the Province of Cagayan on March 5, 2015.
6.	Certificate of Commendation was given to the AB Mass Communication Program for producing a 20-minute Institutional Video for Cagayan State University presented during the 36th Founding Anniversary on June 11, 2014.
7.	Herencia Award was given to Dr. Rogelio P. Matalang and Ana Marie C. Cauilan on their professional and technical assistance in the establishment of DWRL 95.1 FM, Lallo’s Community Radio, which has served as a vehicle of information and entertainment to the people on August 5, 2015.
8.	PLAQUE OF RECOGNITION – HELPER OF GOD AWARD was given to Prof. Jan Justin C. Rodriguez by the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, in recognition of his notable leadership, active participation, significant involvement to the programs and projects of the organizations and institutions he belongs. The award was given during the Alumni Homecoming of UPHSD Calamba on February 18, 2017 in Calamba, Laguna.
9.	Certificate of Recognition was awarded to Jan Justin C. Rodriguez and Ana Marie C. Cauilanin recognition of their efforts and dedication in organizing the “Bayan Mo, Ipatrol Mo Seminar Workshop” on August 12, 2016.
10.	Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to the AB Mass Communication students and faculty namely Cristopher Angelo Del Rosario, Joseph De Guzman, Lee Arden Dela Cruz, JeaCrissaSalvio, Maria Florence Tarcina, Ma. Christian Jam Javier, Kristin Vivien Cacacho, Jay Ralph Conag, Mary MargaretteMarvas, and Nela Marie Fiesta, and Prof. Jan Justin C. Rodriguez in their grateful recognition of outstanding service rendered during the election coverage for the Vote
11.	Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to the AB Mass Communication Students for their participation as Volunteer Reporters during the 2016 National and Local Elections of DZGR Bombo Radyo Tuguegarao on May 9, 2016.
12.	1st place- Documentary film making contest on Adoption in celebration of the adoption consciousness month 2017 conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02. This was awarded at Kimikarlai Hotel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on March 17, 2017.

14.	Certificate of Commendation was awarded to AB Mass Communication students for their invaluable contribution in the production of the documentary- titled “Liwanag sa Pagsisikap” for such work highlighted the social transformation of barangay Tanza and is used as an educational material to the barangay’s constituents and visitors. February 2016.
15.	Overall Champion- debate contest during the speech festival held at the CICS Conference Hall, Cagayan State University with the theme “Building Skills through Communications and Culture”. The award was given at the CSU Carig Campus on March 14, 2016.
16.	3rd Place: Regional Radio Drama Competition held at Nueva Vizcaya State University on November 2016.
17.	2nd Placer: Ms. Christine Reine Rarang won 2nd Placer in the Kundiman Song Competition during the 2016 Regional Socio-Cultural Meet held in Nueva Vizcaya State University on November 2016.
18.	CHAMPION: University Radio Drama Competition held at the Andrews Amphitheatre, Cagayan State University Andrews Campus on October 2016.
19.	CHAMPION: Ms. Christine Reine Rarang won as CHAMPION in the Kundiman Song Competition during the 2016 Universitywide Socio-Cultural Meet held in CSU Carig on October 2016.
20.	2nd Placer: the ABMC 2nd year students won 2nd Place in the Short and Sweetplay Competitions during the 2016 Universitywide Socio-Cultural Meet held at the Andrews Amphitheatre, Cagayan State University Andrews Campus on October 2016.
